Montgomery Watson Harza
City of Houston Northeast Water Purification Plant
The City of Houston awarded the contract for the building of the Northeast Water Purification Plant to Montgomery Watson Harza. The aim was to build a plant that had the room to expand Houston and the surrounding area’s drinking water capacity using surface water, not well water. Montgomery Watson Harza chose ADSS as one of its partners in this venture.
ADSS provided complete mobilization services, including the delivery and set up of the trailers, dumpsters, portable toilets, storage containers, furniture, small business machines, janitorial services, final clean, etc. Additionally, ADSS provided ready-mix concrete for 15 million gallon storage tanks and their bases, as well as other construction materials.
The company was charged with the design and set-up of the bottling plant; this included the design and layout, all bottling equipment, bottles, caps, and labels. ADSS also ensured that the originally designed label was copyrighted and registered for the City of Houston, which included the bottling and delivery of bottled water to several City of Houston office buildings, on a weekly basis.
Republic Parking System
City of Houston Convention and Entertainment Facilities Parking Contract
In 2005, Republic Parking System and ADSS teamed together to win the City of Houston Convention and Entertainment Facilities Parking Contract. Republic Parking System and ADSS provide the overall management and operations of the facilities. ADSS provides the garages and surface lots, cleaning and janitorial services.
The initial contract was for five (5) years. This included all underground parking facilities and surface lots of the Convention and Entertainment Facilities Parking, covering the Theatre District Parking, The Convention District Garage (underneath Discovery Green Park) and The George R. Brown surface lots.
In 2010, Republic Parking System and ADSS teamed, again, to win the renewal of the City of Houston Convention and Entertainment Facilities Parking Contract for another five (5) years. Currently we are managing over 2.5 million square feet of cleaning space and over 6,000 parking spaces.
During an inspection of the entire facility in July 2007, Walker Parking Consultants found this garage to be overall, “one of the best maintained facilities that we have inspected”.
The team has also provided fiber installation from the Theatre District Parking Garage to the Wortham Theater Center and project management and software development. Cabling and installation of security cameras and monitors in the garages, tunnels and city-owned buildings are the other services provided over the years.
